Donna Sue Stoops BRISTOL, Tenn. Donna Sue Stoops, 40, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at her home. She was a daughter of Ann Stiltner Miller and the late Carrol Hale. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Howard and Lona Stiltner and Herman and Gertrude Hale. She was a very active member of Grace Point Church of God and loved to worship her Lord and Savior. Donna is survived by her loving husband, Charles "Eddie" Stoops; daughters, Kelsey Stoops, of Bristol, Tenn., and Kendra Gangewere and husband, Heath, of Blountville, Tenn.; brother, Gary Hale, of Bristol, Tenn.; mother-in-law, Agnes Stoops, of Honaker, Va.; sisters-in law, Cathy Maxfield, of Honaker, Michelle Dye and husband, David, of Honaker and Lisa Bare and husband, Mike, of Johnson City, Tenn.; grandson, Hayden Gangewere, of Blountville; several nieces and nephews; and five great- nieces and nephews; and many friends. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:45 p.m., Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, at Grace Point Church of God, Bristol, Tenn. The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. with Pastor Darrell Bewley and Pastor Tony Thompson officiating. The committal service and interment will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, at McGlothlin Cemetery in Honaker. Honorary pallbearers will be D.J. Hall, Justin Hall, Waylon Maxfield, Troy Gangewere, Jeremiah Ward, Chance Dye, Andrew Dye, Evan Dye, David Barnhart, Mike Bare, David Dye, Tyler Hess and Terry Bowers. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family and viewed by visiting www.oakley-cook.com Arrangements especially for Mrs. Stoops and her family have been made through Oakley-Cook Funeral Home.

Eddie i am so sorry for your loss, this was a terrible shock but i know Gods grace is sufficent he helped my family w the tragic loss of my brother Ralph. My prayers are with you and all her family.

Eddie,
We are so sorry to hear about Donna. The few times I was around her, I felt she was a very special woman. Her smile and sweet personality would light up a room. I know words don't help much at this time. Just know you, your family, and Donna's family are in our prayers. If there is anything we can do, please let us know.
