Dorothy H. Stone Dorothy H. Stone, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, in the NHC Health Care in Johnson City, Tenn. She was born in Abingdon, Va., a daughter of the late G. Frank Helms and Corinne Dobyns Helms. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Oscar Stone; four brothers; and two sisters. She lived most of her life in Bristol Tennessee and was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church of Bristol. Mrs. Stone was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. Dorothy is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Hayes and husband Ted of Johnson City, Tenn.; grandchildren, Lynn Hayes, and Richard and Ivy Hayes; four great-grandchildren, Corinne and Jake Denny, Hannah and Reed Hayes; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Nov. 13, 2010, at First Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Gordon Turnbull officiating. The committal service and inurnment will be private.
