Dovie Sue White BRISTOL, Va. Dovie Sue White, age 79, went to be with the Lord Monday, April 5, 2010, at her home. She was born in Pikeville, Ky., a daughter of the late John and Violet Hamilton Stump. She was a retired bookkeeper at Service Mills and was a member of Fellowship Chapel where she was in the Dorcas Circle. She was a Past Matron of Order Easter Star Chapter 28 and commissioned as Grand Representative of Tennessee from Virginia. She was preceded in death by her nephews, Gregory Compton and Britt Compton. Survivors include: sons, Johnny White and Samuel Joe White; grandchildren, Tim White and Jessie Leonard; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Ryan and Hunter; three nieces; several special friends. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at 8 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Price officiating. The burial will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Mountain View Cemetery. Tim White, Mark Leonard, Harrell Hayton and Kevin France will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 p.m. prior to the service. Online condolences may be registered at www.weaverfuneralhome.net Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home.

Britt always spoke so highly of his Aunt Dove. Miss Yellow Buddy Compton and I would like to express our sympathy to Granddaughter Jessie and the rest of her family. Our prayers are with you all.
