Effie Trivett Obituary
Born Aug. 26, 1932, at Marion, Va., she was the youngest daughter of the late Enoch and Flossie Sexton Weaver. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ at Skygusty.
Effie was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Trivett; and grandson, Robert Allen Blevins. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include six daughters and three sons, Viana Blevins and husband Joe of Konnarock, Va., Wanda Garay of Skygusty, Kathy Blevins and husband Bobby of Damascus, Va., Sue Estep and husband Ron of Gary, W.Va., Phyllis Corley of Meridian, Miss., Jeannie Davis and husband Ashley of Dublin, Va., Lawrence Trivett Jr. and wife Dreama of Skygusty, Ed Trivett of Moshiem, Tenn., and David Trivett and wife Nina of Abbs Valley, Va. She also leaves 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a special sister-in-law and best friend, Mrs. Lala Blevins of Konnarock; and her constant companion, Roscoe, her red Pomeranian puppy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at the Skygusty Church of Jesus Christ, with the Rev. Ronnie Marrs officiating. Special speaker will be Mrs. Trivett's grandson, Robert Blevins, deacon at Azen Baptist Church, Konnarock. There will be an additional visitation at the Azen Baptist Church on Friday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Burial will follow in the Azen Baptist Church Cemetery at Konnarock.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Robert and Ronnie Blevins, Curtis and Kevin Garay, Robbie Trivett and Kent Parks.
Friends may call at the Church of Jesus Christ at Skygusty from 6 until 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Fanning Funeral Home in Welch, W.Va.

I was so sorry to hear of Aunt Effie's passing. She was a wonderful person. (and boy did she have the stories about :) mom) I will miss her and my heart aches for the whole family. I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Many memories came to me of how good she was to me during our school years. She treated me as if I were one of her own children.
