Eleanor "Lena" Blanch Eleanor "Lena" Blanch, 76, of the Corn Valley section of Russell County, Va., passed away on Friday, Oct. 8, 2010. Born and raised in Corn Valley, she was born the daughter of the late Everette and Bessie Fields Boardwine on July 13, 1934. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Nunn and Andrew Blanch; brother, Walter Boardwine; step-brother, Willie "Bill" Fields; step-sister, Carrie Hagy and step-mother, Eula Boardwine. She was a loving mother and she will be greatly missed. Her hobbies included knitting and canning. She attended the Rosedale Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Donaldson and husband Tom, and Patricia Pringle; son, Charles Nunn Jr. and wife Wilma; brother, James (Buster) Boardwine and wife Mary Ann; step-sister, Mildred Lasley; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 11, at 8 p.m. at Owens Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Dennis Wimmer and Pastor Jerry Edwards officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, at Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Lebanon. Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. before the funeral service. The family would like to express a special thank you to Total Home Care and Hospice. Their wonderful, dedicated and caring staff is a great asset to help families with their loved ones. Mrs. Blanch's family sends many thanks to them and wants them to know how greatly they appreciate everything they have done. Owens Funeral Service, Lebanon, is in charge of arrangements.

Barbara, Patty, Buster, Tom...
My heart goes out to all during this time of loss. I can only imagine, however, the celebration going on as Aunt Lena, Uncle Charles, Dad, Aunt Carrie, Uncle Bill, Grandma & Grandpa & all are having a reunion... I wish love & peace for everyone during this time and always.
