Eleanor Galliher

Eleanor P. Galliher TAZEWELL, Va. Eleanor P. Galliher, age 73, died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Va. Born March 13, 1937, in Tazewell County, Va., she was a daughter of the late Herbert Randolph Patton and Macie Irene Perdue Patton. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Tazewell, where she served on many committees and was a member of Kindred Spirits. Eleanor along with her husband, Jerry, owned and operated the former Jerry's Pharmacy and Gift Shop in Tazewell. She was an honorary member of the Bluefield Women's Club, a former member of the Jeffersonville Women's Club and the Fincastle Garden Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly P. Galliher; and brother-in-law, Doug Quesenberry. Survivors include her husband, Jerry H. Galliher; one brother, Randolph Patton and wife, Phyllis of Huntersville, N.C.; one sister, Verronia Quesenberry of Statesville, N.C.; sister-in-law, Carolyn Woolwine of Richmond, Va.; brother-in-law, Ralph Galliher of Abingdon, Va.; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Main Street United Methodist Church in Tazewell, with the Rev. Kathie Wilson-Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. Pallbearers will be Randy Hill, Travis Hill, Greg Thomas, Jarrod Thomas, Michael Thomas, and Sam Woolwine. Honorary pallbearers are Tom Harman, Larry Brown, William Booker, members of the Tazewell Lions Club and members of Kindred Spirits. Following the service, the family will return to Main Street United Methodist Church and friends are invited to join them for a reception and time of fellowship. The family requests memorial contributions be directed to the Memorial Fund at Main Street United Methodist Church, 315 E. Main St., Tazewell, VA 24651.
