Elsie Alexander

Elsie M. Alexander BRISTOL, Tenn. Elsie M. Alexander, age 80, passed away on Aug. 8, 2010, at her residence. She was born in Dixon County, Va., a daughter to the late Lloyd and Dora Austin. Elsie was retired from Bristol Health Care Center and was a member of East End Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Dean Alexander; and three sons, George Alexander Jr., Michael Alexander, and Glen Alexander. Survivors include: children, Regina Riley, Daphine Alexander, Shirley Aaron and husband Tom, Dariel Alexander and wife Vicky, and Mark Alexander and wife Judy; sisters, Magdalene Mead, half-sister, Helen Salyers; half-brother, Bobby Jo Austin; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great- grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, at 10 at Barker Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Burnette officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
