Emma L. Watson Maine JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. Emma L. Watson Maine, 81, left this earthly life Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, in the Johnson City Medical Center, to join her Heavenly Father and her departed loved ones. She was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a member of the Roan Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Maine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had worked as an LPN for many years with the Johnson City Memorial Hospital on the Pediatric floor. Mrs. Maine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clyde B. Maine, in 1979; her parents, Ruel Clyde Watson and Lorene Hall Watson; two brothers, Thomas H. Watson and Jim H. Watson; a sister, Pat A. Neal; and a brother-in-law, Donald Broyles. Survivors include a daughter, Malinda (Suzi) Chambers and her husband, Mike of Bristol Tennessee; two sons, Eddy A. Maine and his wife, Amy of Austin, Texas, and Gary L. (Butch) Maine and his wife, Sheila of Bluff Dale, Texas; a sister, Barbara L. Broyles, Johnson City; grandchildren, Courtney B. Maine, Austin, Gerald Maine, Ft. Seal, Okla., Evan Duncan, Austin, April Maine, Abilene, Texas, Clint Maine and his wife, Laura, Nashville, Tenn., Josh Chambers and his wife, Alyssa, Kingsport, and Wes Chambers, Bristol Tennessee; a great-granddaughter, Whitleigh Chambers, Kingsport; a nephew, Buddy Neal, Johnson City; four nieces, Stacie Davis, Jonesborough, Tenn., Tammie Ruston, Atlanta, and Jennifer Tester and Scottye Broyles, both of Johnson City. The funeral service for Mrs. Maine will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, in the Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Ave, Johnson City, with Pastor E.L. Wheeler officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 p.m. until service time. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Sept.r 21, 2010, at 1 p.m. in The National Cemetery at Mountain Home, Tenn. Everyone attending is asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 p.m. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the charity of your choice. The family would like to give special thanks to Stacie Davis and Janice Price for being there for us during our time of need; also to the doctors and caregivers at Greystone Healthcare Center and Johnson City Medical Center.
