Garland Goodson

Garland Howard "Mickey" Goodson BRISTOL, Va. Mickey Goodson, age 63, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. Mickey was born in Bristol Virginia, on April 7, 1946, the son of the late James and Dorothy Goodson, of Bristol Virginia. Mickey loved the Lord, his family, friends, the outdoors, and his little dog, Sammie. He was a great husband and father and will be truly missed. Survivors include his wife, Diane Medlin Goodson, of Bristol Virginia; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ashley M. and Ryan Wilkins, of San Diego and Andrea M. and Tanner Balkcom, of Bristol Virginia; two sons, Adam H. Goodson, of Asheville, N.C., and Michael E. Goodson, of Knoxville, Tenn.; one brother, Gene Goodson, and his wife Sharon, of Bristol Tennessee; two sisters, Nancy Shew, and husband Richard, of Johnson City, Tenn., and Peggy Goodson, of Bristol Virginia; as well as several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, in Beulah Land Baptist Church with Pastor Todd Kuykendall officiating.
