Gladys Skeen Jones MANASSAS, Va. Gladys Skeen Jones, 98, formerly of Bristol Tennessee, passed away on Thursday April 22, 2010, at the home of her daughter in Manassas, Va. She was a daughter of the late Ulysses Skeen and Angie Breeden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Barton Jones. She was a member for over 75 years of the First Baptist Church of Bristol where she was a sunday school teacher for 29 years. She had managed the House of Rossoff fabric shop in Bristol Virginia. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Gladys is survived by a son Robert Barton Jones Jr., of Reston, W.Va.; a daughter, Joyce Evelyn Morgan, of Manassas, Va.; a son, Charles H. Jones and wife Peggy J. Jones, of Bluff City, Tenn.; granchildren, Kathy Jones Michau, Kim Jones Kamp, Rawls Morgan, Jr.and wife Holly, Kevin Morgan and wife Tonya, and Wesley Morgan and wife Terry; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great great-grandchildren The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 o'clock Sunday evening at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home or other times at the home of Charles Jones. The funeral service will be held at 2 O'clock Monday, April 26, 2010, in the Heritage Chapel of Memories at Glenwood Cemetery with Dr. David Stancil officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Capital Hospice, 10530 Linden Lake Plaza, Suite 200, Manassas, VA 20109. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family and viewed by visiting . Arrangements especially for Mrs. Jones and her family have been made through Oakley-Cook Funeral Home.

I lovingly remember "Aunt" Gladys when we went to Aunt Rachel's house for Thanksgiving. I remember the children all rolling around and wrestling on the floor. I remember the adult men sitting in the den watching football. Those were good times. She will be be dearly missed by her family.
