Hazel Jeanette Grubb Vanover BLUFF CITY, Tenn. Hazel J. Vanover, age 55, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Wellmont Hospice House. She was a loving wife of 33 years to Jerry T. Vanover; loving mother of three children, Melanie Woodby, Jennifer McCracken and husband Chris, and Jonathan Vanover and fianc‚e, Jordan McCree, all of Bluff City; four special grandchildren, Joseph and Troy Lee Woodby and Kailyn and Ethan McCracken. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Bluff City Baptist Church, with Rev. David Burton officiating. Burial will follow in Morning View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 2 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Hazel J. Vanover to Akard Funeral Home, 1912 W. State St., Bristol, TN 37620. Akard Funeral Home, 1912 W. State St., Bristol, TN (423) 989-4800, is serving the family of Mrs. Vanover.
