Matthew, Lorie, and Chris:
I can't imagine what to say or do that would make the hurting stop. I'd go back to last week, if I could, and make this not happen...
Hunter was imp, angel, and all sunny smiles, thunder-boomers, summer evenings--all things young and growing, and he will leave a hole in the lives of everyone who cared about him.
If y'all need me, I'm here for you, and always will be.

I saw this on my facebook tonight and wanted to send it to you...I think this is true...When my daddy died, very unexpectedly, I felt like I was suffocating in grief and would never feel any comfort, but in time, I did...In time you will smile about the memories again...

I know well there is no comfort for this pain of parting: the wound always remains, but one learns to bear the pain, and learns to thank God for what He gave, for the beautiful memories of the past, and the yet more beautiful hope for the future. Max Muller

When God calls children
to dwell with him above,
we mortals sometimes question
the wisdom of his love.
For no heartache compares with
the death of a child
who does so much to make our world
seem wonderful and mild.
Perhaps God tires of calling
the aged to his fold,
so he picks a rosebud
before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them,
and so he takes but few
to make the land of Heaven
more beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult
still somehow we must try,
the saddest word mankind knows
will always be "goodby".
So when a child departs,
we who are left behind
must realize God loves children,
Angels are hard to find.
