I was so sorry to read of the passing of your dear mother. I worked with her at Stevens Clinic and also knew your dad. She was such a sweet, kind lady and wonderful nurse. I know you will miss her but be comforted by knowing she is with the Lord and her dear husband. God Bless you all.

Mary Helen, Eddie & Vic,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. What precious memories I have of growing up on Wyoming St. in Welch. Your mom & dad were true examples of loving the kids. Your dad would always watch after me when mom would send me to the store to make sure I was safe. Your parents were so good me.

Mary Helen and Brothers,
Just read the obituaries and found your mother's name on the list. What a terrible shock it was to see that your mother passed away. She and your dad (Victor) were such great neighbors with my mother(Pearl Placidi) and also were classmates years ago when they lived in Ashland. Irene and mother were so much company to each other while living in Welch on Stewart St. Our hearts reach out to you in sympathy and prayers. May she rest in peace. Sorry that I didn't know sooner or else I would have been at her rest place to bid her farewell.

Love,
Ann Placidi Conte , Louie and Family

I had the privilege of working with your Mom at Stevens Clinic and Vito was a good golfing friend of my Uncle, I got to play a few rounds with him from time to time. Mrs. Deak was a great Nurse, one of the generation of smart, cordial, common sense but no nonsense Nures. My sympathy to you

Mary Helen, Eddie, and Vic...I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I have so many good memories of her and all of you when I was growing up in Welch. I can only imagine how hard it is for all of you. We lost my brother Tommy on New Years Eve and Mom is really having a hard time accepting yet another son gone
but we all know they are with the Lord and enjoying all the blessings he has promised us. I will keep you all in my prayers! God Bless you.

As a green new RN fresh out of nursing school in 1983, I had the privilege to work with Mrs. Deak on 3East at Stevens Clinic Hospital. She taught me how to start IV's, but more importantly how to be a "real" nurse. I respected her so much and I will never forget her. Praying this shared memory comforts you and makes you smile.
