Irene P. Rouse MARION, Va. Irene P. Rouse, age 80, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at Smyth County Community Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rouse; daughter, Carolyn Eller; and her parents, S.E. and Clyde Powers. She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Rouse Miller and husband Jerry of Elizabethton, Tenn., and Barbara Rouse Miller of Marion; three sons, Dennis Rouse and wife Anne of Galax, Va., Bobby Rouse and wife Joann of Marion, and Larry Rouse and wife Porkey of Marion; two sisters, Vergie Dungan of Chilhowie, Va., and Ruth Sullivan of Bel Air, Md.; one brother, Garney Powers of Marion; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel, with Reverend Jerry Carver and Reverend Victor Johnsey officiating. Graveside service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Middle Fork Cemetery in Chilhowie, Va. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
