Irene S. Szulewski BRISTOL, Va. Irene S. Szulewski, 85, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010, at Greystone Health Care Center in Blountville, Tenn. She was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and was a daughter John and Rose Slomba. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sigmund Szulewski; sisters, Josephine, Bertha, Lottie, Julia, and two infant sisters; and a brother, John. Survivors are her son, Randy and wife, Kathy of Bristol Virginia; daughter, Cindy Szulewski-Booth and husband Jim of Wilmington, N.C.; brother, William Slomba and wife, Susie of Buffalo; sisters, Helen Klima of Buffalo, Estelle Penke of Charlotte, N.C., Sophie Skoczylas, Anne Stephaniak, and Loretta Slomba, all of Buffalo; grandchildren, Jacqueline, James Alexander and Nicole Booth; special niece, Dorothy Gawron; and several other nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mrs. Szulewski will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Father Timothy E. Keeney officiating. Interment will be follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be David Hall, Mike Hall, Jim Hicks, James Alex Booth, Joseph Wilson and Don Stewart.
