James Harold Bennington ABINGDON, Va. A memorial service James Harold Bennington will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. David Brannock, Trinity UMC, Greeneville, Tenn., officiating. The family will visit with friends attending immediately following the service. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Outreach, 104 Abingdon Place, Abingdon, VA 24210. Those wishing to express sympathy may do so online by visiting www.farrisfuneralservice.com and signing the online guestbook. Mr. James Harold Bennington, age 76, died peacefully with his wife, son and daughter-in-law by his side on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center. Arrangements for Mr. Bennington are under the care of Farris Funeral Service, 427 East Main St. Abingdon, VA 24210.

Dearest Rosemary and James,
It is with deep sorrow to hear of the passing of Harold. We have shared many years of friendship. He always had a smile and a story with witt and humor.
May God Bless you during this time and always. Our thoughts and prayers are with you now and always. We will forever have fond memories of of years past.
