James "Tom" Hatcher BRISTOL James "Tom" Hatcher, 74, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, at home. He was a son of the late Charles Walter Hatcher and Edith Childress Hatcher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn Hatcher Craig and Jane Hatcher Earp. He was retired from Air Movers, Inc., Bristol Tennessee. He was also a Master Mason and a member of Zollicoffer Lodge No. 444, Bluff City, Tenn. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. James is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sue Terry Hatcher; sons, James T. "Butch" Hatcher II and wife Kim of Bluff City, and Brett Hatcher and wife Donna of Bristol Tennessee; brother, C.W. Hatcher and wife Dondra of Bristol Tennessee; five grandchildren who he adored, Trey, Tony, Drew, Grasyn and Emma; and several nieces and nephews. A gathering in celebration of his life will be held at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home from 5 until 7 o'clock Friday evening, Jan. 14, 2011. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Tom Townsend, Lisa Sproles, Lee McClure and the hospice angels, Dick Shoemaker and the gang at H. Johnson Pharmacy, and many special friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Wellmont Hospice House, 280 Steele's Road, Bristol, TN 37620; or to Shriner's Children Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point, Tampa, FL 33607.
