Dixie and I were colleagues, providing physical therapy to students at various locations throughout SW Va. for several years. She showed genuine caring for her students and provided them with the highest quality of physical therapy possible. I, along with SW VA children, will miss her dearly as an individual and also as a gifted therapist. My sincerest sympathies to her family and friends. They are in my prayers.

When I was a college freshman and thinking about becoming a physical therapist, Dixie allowed me to shadow her. I decided to pursue PT and Dixie wrote my recommendation letter to the Medical College of Virginia. I've been a therapist for almost 30 years and have always be grateful for what Dixie did for me. I'm just one small example of the many lives this caring, energetic individual touched in a special way. My sympathies to all of Dixie's friends and family and especially to Katy Brown, another wonderful physical therapist.

She devoted her full energy and encouragement in her work, and obviously loved it. I was fortunate enough to be able to see some of the results of her efforts. She made a lasting impact on the lives of her patients in her time here with us, and that can never be taken away. My thoughts are with her family and friends.

Our thoughts and prayers go to a VERY special family experiencing a terrible loss. I remember Dixie being in my brother's class in school - a bright and beautiful individual, who was blessed with a wonderful Mother and extra special Dad. Her Mother passed away many years ago, and her Dad was blessed years later with another very special loving lady that I am also blessed to know.
We can not imagine the pain this has caused for all the Waters family. I pray God holds you tight and whisper in your ears how much He loves you ALL and reassures you that Dixie is now back home with Him and her Mother, Jane.
We LOVE YOU ALL!
