Jennifer Louise Owens MARION, Va. Jennifer Louise Owens, age 29, went home on Sunday, June 6, 2010, at the Francis Marion Manor. Her work on earth was done. Jennifer was a beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She was a blessing to all who knew her and she touched many lives. She was a 1999 graduate of Marion Senior High School. Jennifer was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Henry and Louise Campbell; her paternal grandparents, Joe and Georgia Owens; three aunts; one uncle; and two cousins. Survivors include: her parents, Jim and Wanda Owens, Marion; one sister, Kelly Owens Parnell and husband Adam, Marion; special niece and nephew, Olivia and Owen Parnell; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her family at Francis Marion Manor; special caregiver, Shelia Russell. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 7, 2010, at 8 p.m. from the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with Bob Campbell officiating. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Francis Marion Manor for the wonderful care she received there. Special thanks also to Dr. Paul Brown and the physicians and staff of Family Physicians of Marion, Hospice of Southwest Virginia and the physicians and staff of Smyth County Community Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Francis Marion Manor Activities Fund, 100 Francis Marion Lane, Marion, VA 24354; or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www.bradleysfh.com Bradley's Funeral Home, Marion is serving the Owens family.

Jim, Wanda and Kelly,
It was an honor taking care of Ms. Jennifer at the Manor. She cried terribly when she found out I was transferring to the hospital. I'll miss her terribly as you will, but just know that she is in a better place than we are and she's healthy now and can walk. We will keep you in our prayers.

We feel so blessed that we got to see Jennifer Friday night @ Walmart.She was truly a blessing & a joy to know. We know you all will miss her terribly but just take comfort in knowing she is now walking on the streets of gold with Jesus and other family & friends.
