Josephine DeFriece Wilson GREENVILLE, S.C. At her request, there will be no formal funeral service. On Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, from 1 to 2 p.m., friends may meet with the family at Akard Funeral Home. At 2 p.m., a memorial gathering will be held in the Akard Funeral Home Chapel. The committal service with family and friends attending will follow at Shelby Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to: The Ronald McDonald House, 418 North State of Franklin Road, Johnson City, TN 37604; Tel: (423) 637-7475. E-mail condolences may be sent to the family at [email protected] Josephine DeFriece Wilson, previously a resident for many years of Ft. Lauderdale and Naples, Fla., died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at The Woodlands at Furman. Akard Funeral Home, 1912 W. State St., Bristol, Tenn., (423) 989-4800, is serving the family of Mrs. Wilson.

Rick, Susan, Patti, and Chris,

I just found out about Aunt Josephine's death from my Mother last week. I am so sorry for your loss, and will always remember how nice she was to me and always had a smile on her face. She lived a good life, and I wish I had seen her more often. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

I am so very thankful I got to know Ms. Wilson! She is one classy lady. I will always remember her grace when she had every right to be less than...
How lucky were all of you to have such a great mom.

I am sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I never got to meet her but I am a distant cousin of her's thru the DeFriece's. I did have the privledge of getting to know her brother Frank W. and was sadden at his death last month. I just wanted you to know you have relatives in the Port Clinton Ohio area. Sandy, so sorry to hear of your mothers death. A great woman and your best friend will surely be missed. My mom died in March of last year and I really miss her. It does bring much comfort in knowing she is in a much better place and happy. No more pain or suffering. God Bless!!
