Judy Jonas Obituary

Jonas Judy Woods Jonas, 46, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born in Smyth County to the late John Wesley Woods and Effie Virginia Sheets Woods and was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Dean Woods. She was a member of Brookside Baptist Church in Sugar Grove. Survivors include one son, Zachary Jonas of Sugar Grove; one daughter, Maggie Jonas of Sugar Grove; two sisters, Peggy Emerson and husband, Jerry, of Sugar Grove and June Aker of Marion; four brothers, John Woods, Jack Woods, Joe Woods and George Woods, all of Sugar Grove; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov.12, at Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with the Rev. Don Medley officiating. Graveside services were conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in Pugh Cemetery. The family received friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home or any time at the home of June Aker or Peggy Emerson. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
