Kala Rachelle Rasnake LEBANON, Va. Kala Rachelle Rasnake, 22, passed away on Friday, Oct. 8, 2010. Born on Nov. 28, 1987, in Russell County, Va., she was the daughter of Shelia Rachelle and Ricky Neal Rasnake. She loved her family with all her heart and also had a love for animals. In addition to her parents, she is also survived by her brother, Ricky Lee Rasnake; two aunts, Scarlet King and husband Coy and Betty Martin and husband Freddie; uncle, Eddie Short; grandfather, Cecil Short and wife Susan; and a special friend, Christy Hall. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Owens Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Jim Richardson officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon. Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 before the funeral service. Owens Funeral Service, Lebanon, is in charge of arrangements.

Shelia,
I'm so sorry to hear about Kala. She was a sweet and funny girl. She spent many evenings at our house with Labrisca, Rejeane', and all the rest of their buddies. She was a "hoot" and always smiling. I pray in the coming days Jesus will comfort you and yours.

Shelia,
I''m so sorry for your loss of Kala. She brightened many evenings at my house with Labrisca, Rejeane' and all their buddies when you guys lived in Abingdon. She was full of life and wanting to have fun, Kala always had a smile for everyone and was such a "hoot" to have around, we all loved her. I will keep you and yours in my prayers for comfort and peace that only comes from HIM.

Sheila & Family:
I am so very sorry for your tragic loss. I remember Kala as the cute, bubbly, tiny, little girl who was so full of joy so I can hardly believe she is 22 years old. I carried a little note she wrote me at church in my Bible for at least 15 years. Everytime I see it, I think of her & remember her cute little smiling face. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
