Kate Anderson Trent ABINGDON, Va. Kate Anderson Trent, 73, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at her home. She was a lifelong resi dent of Abingdon and a former employee of the Martha Washington Inn. She is survived by her son, Mike Trent and wife Trudy of Tulsa, Okla.; and a daughter, Vikki Parsons and husband Steve of Gray, Tenn. Additional survivors include her brother, R.J. "Red" Anderson and wife Ethel of Abingdon; her sister, Ann Fugate and husband Henry of Abingdon; two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Those wishing to express sympathy online may do so by visiting www.farrisfuneralservice.com and signing the online guestbook. Arrangements for Kate A. Trent are under the care of Farris Cremation & Funeral Center, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA.
