Launa Ann Payne COEBURN, Va. Launa Ann Robinette Payne, 74, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, at Mountain View Medical Center in Norton, Va. She was a former employee of the Wise County School Board and also the Wise County Christian School. She was the daughter of the late William T. Robinette and Pauline Robinette. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Livingston and husband Jeff, Coeburn, and Cindy Fitzpatrick and husband Tim, Woodbridge, Va.; one granddaughter, April Fitzpatrick; three grandsons, Nathan Livingston, Nicholas Livingston and Tommy Fitzpatrick. Funeral services for Launa Ann Payne will be held on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Coeburn United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary "Pete" Perdue officiating. Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at the church. Burial will follow at Greenwood Acres Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, Coeburn, VA.

I was so sorry to hear that you lost your mom. She was an avid reader who inspired me to follow suit. We shared many stories and laughs. I know she loved you very much and she will be greatly missed. May Jesus give you comfort in time of your need.

Having worked with Anne for many years, I found her sense of humor to be one of her wonderful qualities and her intelligence very admirable. We enjoyed lots of good times at school and I especially remember her references to her cat who could predict snow days. I am sure she will be missed by family and friends and offer my condolences to especially to Cindy and Kathy. May God bless you and give you comfort.
