Launa Peltier

Launa U. Peltier BRISTOL, Va. Launa U. Peltier, age 87, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, in the Wellmont Hospice House. She was born Dec. 6, 1922, in Bulls Gap, Tenn., to the late Isaac Arthur and Emily Saulsbury Holt, and has lived most of her life in the Bristol area. She was a retired seamstress for L.C. King Manfacturing. She loved to embroidering and gardening. She attended Belle Meadows Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Peltier; and a brother,Jessie R. Holt. She is survived by: sons, Charles Peltier and wife Judy, David Peltier and wife Maria; grandchildren, David Eugene and Kerrie Peltier, Jason and Sarah Peltier, Chris and April Peltier, Lisa and Daniel Horne; sister, Margaret Davison; sister-in-law, Marie Peltier; great- grandchildren, Austin Peltier, Garrett Peltier, Callie Peltier, Madison Peltier, Adam Peltier, Avery Horne, and Nila Horne; special friend, Margaret Arnold; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Launa Peltier will be held 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Dewey Williams officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. The burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Glenwood Cemetery.
