Letta Menervia Poston Evans MARION, Va. Letta Menervia Poston Evans, age 77, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at her home. She was born in Smyth County to the late Harry and Beulah Gross Poston, and was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Evans; two brothers, Harold Giggs Poston and John A. Poston; a sister, Hazel Jones; three infant sisters; and two infant brothers. Survivors: two brothers, Charles J. Poston and friend Juanita Williams, Marion and Roy Ran Poston and wife Carolene, Marion; four sisters, Mary Jane Finney, her caregiver with whom she made her home in Marion, Mildred Null and husband Gordon, Marion, Rachel Bise and husband John, Marion and Alice Neel and husband James, Atkins; several nieces, nephews and a host of cousins. Special thank you to Hospice of Southwest VA and Mountain States Home Care for the care given to Mrs. Evans. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion, with Rev. Gary Trout and Rev. Kenny Price officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. The nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
