Lillie Mae Duff Snead SALTVILLE, Va. Lillie Mae Duff Snead, 92, widow of Roy G. Snead passed away Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at her home. She was a longtime member of the Valley View Assembly of God Church, Saltville. She was preceded in death in death by her parents, Archie and Leona Duff; her only sister, Mary Ruth Eastridge; brothers, Clarence, Carl, Garnet, Eugene, Claude, Hugh and Fred. She is survived by her daughters, Gaynell S. Matney and husband Calvin R. Matney, Janice M. Snead; grandson, Timothy S. Matney and wife Jennifer D. Anderson; granddaughter, Rebecca S. O'Connor and husband Thomas K. O'Connor; great-grandson, Alistair Ryan O'Connor; brothers, Charlie R., Willis G., and Earnest L. Duff. A heartfelt thanks to devoted caregivers, Nolavon O'Quinn, Holly Hamm and Shirley Ray and a special friend, Simone Henderson. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA, with Pastor Dennis Banks and Pastor Billy Dean Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. The nephews will serve as pallbearers.
