Lou Jean Sweet Rogersville, Tenn. Lou Jean Sweet, age 81 of Rogersville, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, after an extended illness at Signature Health Care, Rogersville. She was a member of Green Spring Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Sweet was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Homer Sweet; parents, Edward W. and Pearl Gobble Wise; brothers, Edward H. Wise Jr. and Thomas J. Wise. Survivors include four daughters, Linda Sweet of Bristol Tennessee, Patricia Thaxton and husband, David of Statesville, N.C., and Rev. Dr. Janet Richardson of Bean Station and Mary Jane Fink and husband, Chris of Rogersville; five grandchildren, Sophia Fink, Chad Eason and wife, Janna, Lee Thaxton and wife, Maggie, T. J. Richardson and Katy Richardson; four great grandchildren, Troy Eason, McKenzie Eason, Maggie Eason and Joseph Eason; a number of nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville and other times at the home of Mary Jane and Chris Fink, 715 Meadow View Lane, Rogersville. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at Green Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Don Rose officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Green Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, 22007 Green Spring Church Road, Abingdon, VA 24211 Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville is serving the Sweet family.
