Mae Taylor Obituary

Mae L. Taylor BRISTOL, Va. Mae L. Taylor, 84, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at the home of her grandson, Dean Long. She was a native of Ashe County, N.C., and had lived in Manassas, Va., before moving to Bristol in 1971. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. "Bud" Taylor. Survivors include two daughters, Linda K. Hawks of Elizabethton, Tenn., and Sandra G. Gross of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Hazel Dolinger of Honeybrook, Pa., and Betty Emerson of Abingdon, Va.; seven grandchildren, Dean Long, Bristol Tennessee, Gene Long, Bristol Virginia, Scott Gross, Natalie Gross, and Katie Gross all of Colorado Springs, Sandra Bullins, Elizabethton, and Jessee Rosenbaum, Douglas, Ga. Mrs. Taylor is also survived by five great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are incomplete at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Betty Emerson, 18361 Fortunes Way, Abingdon, VA 24210, to help with the funeral expense.
