Margaret Rebecca Clappse ABINGDON, Va. Margaret Rebecca Clappse, 76, passed away on Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 26, 1934, to the late Clark and Grace Price. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Clappse; brother, Clayton Price; and sisters, Ulcea Simmers and Dora Price. Survivors are her sons, Raymond (Allison) Clappse, Ronald (Linda) Clappse and Donald Clappse, all of Abingdon; two grandchildren, Josh and Brooke Clappse; four sisters, Nancy (Dale) Stark and Christine Garrett, both of Bristol, Cecialea Abel of Baltimore, and Ethel Gebhart of Hockessin, Del.; two brothers, Shirley (Peggy) Price of Boothwyn, Pa., and Eugene (Grace) Price of Toughkenamon, Pa. The family would also like to extend special thanks to the 5th Floor Nursing Staff at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Dr. Swank and nurse, Dianne Wise. Funeral services for Mrs. Clappse will be conducted at 2 Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Mike Abel officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will be receiving friends at Farris Funeral Service from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday.
