Mary Evelyn Veselik DAMASCUS Va. A memorial service for Mary Evelyn Veselik will be held on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at 5 p.m. at Royal Oak Presbyterian church in Marion with a reception to follow the service, the Rev. Dr. Angus R. Shaw and Dr. Alan Gray will officiate. A private graveside service will be conducted in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Va., before the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Wytheville Community College Educational Endowment, Inc. and earmarked for the Robert G. and Evelyn M. Veselik Scholarship Endowment. Contributions may be mailed to the WCC Educational Foundation at 1000 East Main St., Wytheville, VA 24382. Mary Evelyn (Mottesheard) Veselik, formerly of Marion, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at the Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie. Farris Funeral Service, 427 East Main St., Abingdon, Va., is serving the Veselik family.
