Ola Blevins Pennington

Ola Blevins Pennington MARION, Va. Ola Blevins Pennington, age 94, passed away on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010 in the Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, Va. She was the daughter of Donald and Frances Stamper Osborne and was a member of South Fork Baptist Church. Mrs. Pennington was preceded in death by her two husbands, James Lacy Blevins and Dayton Pennington; and two brothers, Reeves Osborne and Ernest Osborne. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Bill Robbins, Marion; one sister, Iva Witten, Marion; two grandsons, Larry Robbins and wife, Kim, Marion, and Jeff Robbins and fianc‚e, Marci Blackstock, Black Mountain, N.C.; two great-grandchildren, Ashley Robbins, Atlanta, Ga., and Crystal Davis-Robbins Tarditti and husband, Juan, Durango, Colo.; a special cousin, Kathleen Powers; a special nephew, Robert Osborne and wife, Ruth; and many special friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to the first floor staff at Valley Health Care Center for the exceptional care given to our mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010 from the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with the Rev. Bobby Blevins, the Rev. Jerry Creasy and the Rev. Mark Totten officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Roselawn Cemetery in Marion.
