Patricia White Stephens MARION, Va. Patricia White Stephens, age 70, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010 at Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion. Patricia was born Dec. 26, 1939 in Smyth County, Va., to the late Leon and Lydia Greer White. She taught English at Sugar Grove and Marion Senior High School for over 40 years, retiring in 2002. She was a lifelong member of Stone Memorial Presbyterian Church in Marion; and in her retirement, joined Joyful Noise, a community choir. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Baker and Paul Baker. Survivors include her loving husband, Ancil Stephens; one sister, Jewel Armstrong; one brother, J.L Baker and wife, Opal; two sisters-in-law, Ginny Baker and Wanda Baker; three step-children, Charlie Stephens and wife, Malisa, Arlene Terry and husband, Charles, and Linda Boyette and husband, Garry; several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at Seaver-Brown Chapel, Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at 2 p.m. with Dr. John DiYorio and the Rev. Walter Monroe Landers officiating. Private burial will be held in Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 246, Abingdon VA 24210 or to Stone Memorial Presbyterian Church, c/o Laura Farrington, 627 Hilltop Street, Marion VA 24354. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaver-brown.com Seaver-Brown Funeral Service and Crematory is serving the Stephens family.

Patricia will be missed by many. She was a wonderful person to know. We never got to make our trip to Ashland to visit family and friends and I"ll always remember our trying to plan it. With deepest sympathy to the family. Jeannee H Clapp
