Patsy Arnold Bise GLADE SPRING, Va. Patsy Arnold Bise, age 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at her Glade Spring home surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Union Church in Saltville, Va. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice "Shug" and Jim "Foddershock" Arnold; two brothers, Garland "Pig" Arnold & Ernest "Lefty" Arnold; and one sister, Mildred Arnold Campbell. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Lowell Mason Bise; one daughter, Debbie Bise Crawford and husband Tim of Chilhowie, Va.; two sons, Joe Bise and wife, Debbie of Glade Spring and Kevin Bise and wife Loretta of Bristol Virginia; four grandchildren, Mindy Crawford Moore and husband Chris of Glade Spring, Dusty Crawford and wife Lisa of Glade Spring, Daniel Bise of Princeton, N.J., and Megan Bise of Bristol Virginia; and two great-granddaughters, Bailey and Sophie Moore of Glade Spring. Also surviving are one brother, Jimmy Arnold and wife Daphne of Bristol Virginia; two sisters, Nancy Clark and husband Jimmy Wayne of Glade Spring and Judy Holmes and husband Bob of Glade Spring; sisters-in-law, Polly Arnold, Mary Catherine Arnold, Patsy Tilson, Dot Fore and husband Ronnie, Girthel Smith and husband Ed, and Ruth Bise; and brothers-in-law, Otis Bise Jr. and wife Jean, Jack Bise and wife, Wanda; two aunts, Audrey Montgomery of Saltville and Minnie Belle McCready of Bristol Virginia; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. Per her wishes, there will be no formal viewing prior to the funeral. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 29, at 2 p.m. at the D.R. Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville, with Rev. Chuck Blevins officiating. Committal services to follow at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring. Flowers will be appreciated and donations may be directed to Mt. Pleasant Union Church, 1404 Mt. Pleasant Drive, Saltville, VA 24370; or Hospice of Southwest Virginia, 301 Valley St., NE, Abingdon, VA 24210. The family would like to especially thank Lisa Creggar and Naomi Barrett of Hospice of Southwest Virginia for their care. Online condolences may be made at drhendersonfuneralhome.com D.R. Patsy was a wonderful person. Family and Friendship was what she was about. She was loved by many.
She was a Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grand and Great-Grandmother in the most special sense of each role.
