Peggy Joyce Plummer ABINGDON, Va. Proverbs 31: 10 -12 "Who can find a virtuous woman, for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life." Peggy Joyce Plummer, 74, died Monday, July 5, 2010, at her home. She was born in Tiny, Va., daughter of the late Jonas and Ethel Hughes Jessee. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmy McNeil Bryant; five brothers, Jimmy Jessee, Richard Jessee, Dee Jessee, Billy Jessee, and Wayne Jessee; two sisters, Thelma Jessee McMillan and Bonetta Jessee. She moved to Abingdon in 1970. She was of the Christian faith. She is survived by her husband, Noah F. Plummer Jr.; one daughter, Patsy "Gail" Tweed and husband, Arley Jr. of Abingdon; one son, Randy Bryant and wife, Deborah of Dante, Va.; three sisters, Bessie Grizzle and husband, Maynard of Big Rock, Va., JoAnne Wright and husband, Jerry of Saint Paul, Va., and Dorothy Wright and husband, Jerry of Dante; two grandsons, Ben Tweed of Abingdon, and Daniel Tweed of Abingdon; one granddaughter, Beverly Payne and husband, Mitchell of Abingdon; two great-granddaughters, Madison Bryant and Kassidy Kiser; one step- great-grandson, Tyler Payne; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Peggy Joyce Plummer will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2010, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Va., with Brother Bobby Helton and Rev. Paul Norris officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens, Abingdon. Pallbearers will be Ben Tweed, Daniel Tweed, Mitchell Payne, Doug Wright, Tim Wright, Kerry Wright, Roger Grizzle, and Jerry Wayne Wright. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood.
