Pinkie Osborne MENDOTA, Va. Ms. Pinkie Osborne, age 78, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at a Lebanon, Va., hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Buchanan County, Va., and was a daughter of the late Melvin and Myrtle Osborne, both Buchanan County natives. She was a former resident of Beckley, W.Va., and was a nurse with Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital before retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ramie Osborne; one sister, Dorothy Osborne; one nephew, Steve Osborne; and three brothers-in-law, June Beavers, Gene Cochran, and Ray Hiles. Survivors include: two sisters, Mrs. Ella Beavers of Cedar Bluff, Va., and Mrs. Lovis Hiles of Evanston, Ill.; sister-In-law, Mrs. Ella Mae Osborne of Norton, Va.; a close friend whom she regarded as a sister, Ms. Mabel Jackson of Cedar Bluff; special great-nephews, Adam Osborne and John Still; a special great-niece, Beth Osborne; several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Graveside services for Ms. Pinkie Osborne will be conducted Friday, April 9, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Claypool, Va., with Rev. Bobby Laney officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va. Pallbearers will be: Adam Osborne, John Still, Mike Still, Donnie Baker, and Jay Wess. Friends may call at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands after 6 p.m. Thursday evening. Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands is in charge of arrangements and those wishing to express sympathy online may do so at www.hurstscottfuneralhomes.com
