Raymond Belcher

Raynard Belcher HONAKER, Va. Mr. Raynard Belcher, age 70, of the New Garden Road section, passed away Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, in a Lebanon, Va., hospital. Born Dec. 30, 1938, in Honaker, he was a son of the late Curtis Lee and Carrie Zeta Griffith Belcher. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a 1957 graduate of Honaker High School and a graduate of Nashville Auto Diesel College. He owned and operated Belcher's Repair Shop since 1973. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dallas Belcher and Ballard Belcher. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Adeline Belcher of the home; two daughters, Deborah Mullins and husband Timothy of Bedford, Va., and Christina Hart and husband Scott of Honaker; one grandson, Clint Hart of Honaker; two brothers, Lloyd Belcher and wife Nina and Raymond Belcher and wife Shirley, all of Honaker; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, with Elder Garnell Gilbert and Elder Noah Kim Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Memorial Cemetery at Lebanon. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Belcher, Wendell Hart, Gary Hart, Bernard Fletcher, Chad Fletcher, Ralph Kiser, C.B. Yates and Darrell McGlothlin. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Tuesday.
