Robert E. Rubarth COUNCIL, Va. Mr. Robert E. Rubarth, age 56, of Sunflower Farm Drive, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010. Born July 12, 1953, in Detroit, he was a son of the late Herman and Margaret Rubarth. He was employed as a robotics engineer at VE RAC in Johnson City, Tenn., and attended Victory Fellowship in the Elk Garden area. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Rubarth. Survivors include his wife, Bernice Tignor Rubarth of the home; one daughter, Lisa; one son, Maurice; three grandchildren, Cassie, Ethan and Jade; two brothers, Frank Rubarth of Las Vegas and Fred Rubarth of Michigan; two sisters, Peggy Burkheiser of Michigan, and Carla McGowan of Utah, also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Rod and Sharon Wicker officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Sunflower Farms Cemetery, near the home in Council. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to assemble at the cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Tignor, Johnny Tignor, Teddy Tignor, Jim McGlothlin, Daryn Compton, and Kevin McGlothlin. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Monday.
