Rosena May Vance Barr BRISTOL, Tenn. Rosena May Vance Barr, age 89, went to be with the Lord and her husband on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at the Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born May 14, 1920, a daughter of the late Elmer S. Vance Sr. and Grace B. Miller Vance, and was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area. She was of the Christian faith and member of the Central Christian Church where she taught a Sunday school class. She was also a 58- year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Border City, Chapter 162 and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Barr; three sisters; and one brother. Survivors include: two sons, Robert Barr and wife Cassandra, Piney Flats, Tenn., William Barr and wife Janet, Rural Hall, N.C.; two brothers, Conley Vance, Bristol Tennessee, and Tommy Vance; three grandchildren; two great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ross Dampier officiating. Burial will be private at the Weaver Cemetery. Online Condolences may be registered at www.weaverfuneralhome.net The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Weaver Funeral Home. Arrangements were made with Weaver Funeral Home.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Aunt Rosena was my mother's favorite aunt. Our family had hoped to attend the funeral, but the weather determined that we could not make the trip today. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.
