Rosie Lee Griffey CHILHOWIE, Va. Rosie Lee Griffey, age 72, passed away on July 10, 2011, at her home. Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, Roby and Virgie Hayden; her husband, George Griffey; and two sons, George David and Dennis Leroy Griffey. Survivors include four sons, Cecil Griffey, Richard and Angela Griffey, Terry and Ruth Griffey and Kenneth and Jewell Griffey; two daughters, Mary Vanhoozer and Priscilla and James Fields; four brothers, Thomas Hayden, Roby Hayden, Charles Hayden and Marvin Hayden; five sisters, Margaret Olinger, Mandy Shelton, Mary Sue Harris, Darcus Harris and Pearl Cox; special friend, Mamie (Bunny) Warren; nine gandchildren, William Vanhoozer, Michael Vanhoozer, David Vanhoozer, Travis L. Griffey, Randall Fields, Shana Griffey, Kayla Silverio, Kevin Griffey and Jacob Griffey; nine great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Rosie Griffey will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at the D.R. Henderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Tracy Puckett and the Rev. Steve Hutton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Travis Lee Griffey, Michael Vanhoozer, Will Vanhoozer, Eddie Pennington, Adam Pennington, John Hayden and will serve as pallbearers with Bo Harris and Billy Gravely serving as honorary pallbearers.
