Sarah Adeline Poston Cunningham BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. Sarah Adeline Poston Cunningham, age 99, went to be with the Lord Wednes day, Jan. 13, 2010, in the Wellmont Hospice House. She was born March 15, 1910, to the late Andrew and Elizabeth King Poston. Sarah lived most of her adult life in Blountville. She was a member of Blountville Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eliga P. Cunningham; sisters, Gladys Talbert, Alifair Vest, Virgie Poston, Lelia Lambert and Lockie Bordwine; brothers, Melvin, Garland, Arvel and George K. Poston; son-in-law, Gene Rutherford; and granddaughter, Vanessa Cook Stapleton. Survivors include daughter, Frances Rutherford of Blountville; sons, Carl and wife Dortha of Kingsport, William J. and wife Carolyn of Kingsport; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. at Blountville Presbyterian Church, Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, followed by a funeral service. Rev. Ike Brighton will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Route 700, Bristol, VA. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
