Shirley Ann Rivera

Shirley Ann Rivera BRISTOL, Tenn. Shirley Ann Rivera, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born July 12, 1940, to the late Emory McCracken and Mae Gentry McCracken. She had lived in Bristol since 1973 and was formerly employed by L.C. King Co. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hector Rivera; and a son, Marcos Rivera. Survivors: loving companion of 20 years, James "Sandy" McCready; sons, Joe Rivera, Waldo Rivera, Mario Rivera; daughters, Cheryl Perrin, Rhonda Henderson; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; special friends, Ron and Nita McCready; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, from the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Tester officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at Sunset Cemetery in Damascus, Va. The family would like to say a special thank you to the nurses at Ridgecrest Nursing Home in Duffield, Va., for the care that was given.
