Susan Grace Warren Barr WASHINGTON COUNTY, Va. Mrs. Susan Grace Warren Barr, age 54, a resident of the Wideners Valley Section, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at her residence with her family and many friends by her side. Susan attended John Battle High School and truly enjoyed the outdoors and working on the farm with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the High Point Baptist Church and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by a loving sister, Cynthia Warren. Susan is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Randy Barr of Glade Spring, Va.; one daughter, Heather Grace Trivett and husband Chad of Glade Spring, Va.; one son, Matt Barr and wife Andrea of Bristol Tennessee; her special grandchildren, Troy and Billy Trivett and Lucas and Cole Barr; her loving parents, Albert "Johnny" Warren and wife Ruth Warren of the Wyndale Community of Washington County, Va.; one sister, Judy Tharpe and husband Steve of Bristol Virginia; one brother, Jeff Warren and wife Ava of Glade Spring; a very special and loving aunt, Gay Childress and her dearest friend, Carol Barr; numerous loving and thoughtful aunts, nieces and nephews; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. She cherished her church family at High Point Baptist Church and would like to thank them for the prayers and the love that was shown to her family. Funeral services for Susan Barr will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, in the High Point Baptist Church with the Pastor Robert Coggins officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Damascus, Va.. Active pallbearers will be R.C. Sheets, Tracy Wright, Jonathan Warren, Eric Hale, Tim Widener and Junior Rouse. Honorary pallbearers will be the women and the men of the High Point Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the Frost Funeral Home on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, from 5 until 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contribution be made to the Ovarian Cancer Awareness Group, 2501 Oak Lawn Ave., Suite 435, Dallas, TX 75219, in memory of Susan Barr.
