Viola Lyon BLUFF CITY, Tenn. Viola Lyon, 89, of 358 Sky Wa Mo Road, has joined family members and friends in Heaven. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Nancy Lingerfelt Combs, and the widow of Cecil Lyon. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Jay and Edward Combs; and two sisters, Bertha Morrell and Evelyn Glover. She had lived most of her live in the Chinquapin Community, was a member of Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Lyon is survived by a daughter, Geraldine and husband Johnny Jenkins; grandchildren, Julie and Jason Millard and Katrina Tolley; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Missy and Janie Millard and Katana Tolley; special nephew, Mac Lyons; special friend, Jo Ann Brown; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 7:45 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2010, with the funeral service at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Bluff City. Rev. Jamie Ferguson and Wade Lockner will be in charge of the services. Friends may also call at anytime at 316 Sky Wa Mo Road, Bluff City. Graveside service and interment will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Chinquapin Grove Cemetery. Ministers, pallbearers, family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Johnny Jenkins, Mac Lyons, Verl Kaylor Jr., Michael Jenkins, Ed McDuffey and David Bartley. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Millard, James Glover Sr., James Glover Jr. and Doug Lewis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church, 1727 Chinquapin Grove Road, Bluff City, TN 37618. Condolences may be sent to the family electronically by visiting www.tetrickfuneralhome.com and signing the guestbook.
