W. Scott Lockard Jr.

W. Scott Lockard Jr. RAVEN, Va. Pastor W. Scott Lockard Jr., age 70, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol Tennessee. Born Nov. 1, 1940, at Altoona, Pa., he was a son of the late Winfield Scott Lockard Sr. and Della Marie Cramer Lockard. Pastor Lockard attended Penn State University and graduated from Fundamental Holiness Bible College. He served as supply pastor at Doran Wesleyan Church for many years. Survivors include his wife, Betty Louise Lute Lockard; one son, Jason Scott Lockard of the home; one daughter, Renee Michelle Lester and husband, Terry of Tazewell, Va.; two grandchildren, Terry Lee Lester Jr. and Miranda Michelle Lester, both of Tazewell; and one brother, Paul S. Lockard of Altoona. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, where funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. with the Rev.
