William Howard Tester BRISTOL, Va. William Howard Tester, 70, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in Bristol, Virginia on Sept. 4, 1940, a son of the late Paul Tester and Dorothy Gross Tester. He loved to shoot pool and enjoyed the outdoors. Mr. Tester was a loving and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an active member of Antioch Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Shirley Tester; daughter, Zipporah Rosenbaum and husband, Michael, of Bristol Virginia; three sisters, Jeanette Foster and husband, Jackie, and Frances Durman, both of Piney Flats, Tenn., and Rachel Crusenberry and husband, Donnie, of Charlotte, N.C.; brother, Michael Tester and wife, Joann, of Bristol Virginia; two grandchildren, Emily and Isaac; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011 at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services. The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m., with the Rev. Donnie Crusenberry officiating. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 in High Point Cemetery.
