DWIGHT PARRY Obituary

Dwight Leroy Parry passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord and Savior with his loving wife, Louise, and family by his side.

During his life, Dwight worked as a nuclear engineer, as well as developing a unique form of acoustic emissions testing which took him all over the world. When not working Dwight could always be found camping, hiking, or hunting rabbits with his faithful dogs, Randy and Lance.

He married his college sweetheart, Belva June Ames, and together they raised four children until her untimely death from cancer. Dwight subsequently met and married his beloved wife and partner in life, Louise. Together Dwight and Louise traveled the world, setling in Sun City, NV, after his retirement.

In 2006, Dwight was ordained as a pastor and emissary of God's word at Sun City Community Church on June 26, 2006. Dwight's passion was ministering to those in nursing homes, becoming both a great comfort and friend to many. He will be missed by all those who came to know him, were comforted by him, and loved him.

Dwight is survived by his loving wife, Louise, his children Steven and wife Nancy, Michael and wife Linda, Cindy, and Susan. Step-children Lisa and husband Ted, Paul and wife Heather, 17 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at the Sun City Community Church at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 25th, 2014.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Memorial Fund for the Rest Home Ministry in honor of Dwight Parry. Checks can be made payable to Sun City Community Church, 8560 Del Webb Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89134.
