Mueller's Chapel of the Falls

Bessie I. Crutchfield, 89, of Kennewick, WA, died Monday, May 30, 2011, with her daughter by her side in Kennewick.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 11, at 2 p.m., at The Solid Rock Community Church in Hermiston, OR. She will be buried next to her parents in Fort Towson, OK, later this fall.

Mrs. Crutchfield was born February 9, 1922, in Choctaw Co., OK, to James E. Rose and Mattie L. (Hutchins) Rose. She was the eldest of 8 children.

Survivors include children, Joyce Lynn of Illinois; Martha Johnson of Kennewick; Debra Ree Decker of Boardman OR; Beth I. Purves of Irrigon, OR; and James Eric Crutchfield of Kennewick; sisters, Dorothy Lynn of TX; Trudy Hansen of TX; brothers, Charles E. Rose of OK; Billy Don Rose of OK; Roy Dean Rose of TX; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren who she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Roy Crutchfield of Whitedeer TX; son, Lefton D Johnson Jr. (Buddy) of Fallbrook CA; sister Vivian Parish of TX; brother James H. Rose of OK; and her parents, James E Rose and Mattie L (Hutchins) Rose.
