WILLIAM HOPKINS Obituary
Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home
William G. Hopkins was born on April 3, 1950, in Port Angeles, Washington, to William J. and Margaret 'Fern' Hopkins. He graduated from Clallam Bay High School in 1969. In 1975, Bill and his son, Christopher, married the love of Bill's life, Donna Burrow (Hopkins). After their marriage and later, the birth of their son Geoffrey William Hopkins, the family relocated to the Tri-Cities, WA, where Bill was employed by the Hanford site. They enjoyed 36 wonderful years of life together, the last five of which Bill was retired and able to travel more with Donna, as well as spend time with Holley, his ever faithful companion.
Known for his 'Big Ole Grin,' Bill has left a legacy of multitudes of very close friends. He was very easy to love, but you could also count on him telling you exactly what he thought. He loved classic cars and was a huge supporter of Geoff's racing. His favorite place on this earth was the warm waters of the Bahamas.
He is survived by his wife Donna and his three sons; Christopher G. Hopkins, Jason Jones, and Geoffrey W. Hopkins, Geoff's wife Sandy, and his grandson Shaun William Hopkins; his three brothers; Jim (Maryanne) and their children Jason (Jenny), Brian (Brooke), and Julie (Scott); Lee (Lisa) and his son Drew; and John (Nancy) and his sons John and Casey, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Diane Burrow, whom he loved both as parents and as best friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and many friends that he will now join in Hot Rod Heaven.
He was a devoted husband and father who was taken from his family and friends much too soon, and he will always be loved and remembered by those whose lives touched his.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Mueller's TriCities Funeral Home at 1401 S. Union in Kennewick, WA. Donations may be made in Bill's name to the organization of your choice.
