Mary Yen Tran passed away peacefully on February 18, 2011, following an extended illness, with family around her bedside at Kadlec Regional Medical Center. She was born in Nam-Dinh, Vietnam, on May 6, 1919, to Nhuan and Roan Tran.

Mary migrated to the U.S. on June 26, 1986, with her niece Loan Tran and family. She was a resident of Richland, Washington, since then until her last day. She was a proud citizen of the United States and the state of Washington as well as a devout member of Christ the King Parish in Richland, Washington.

A former Catholic nun, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grand/great-grand nieces and nephews. Her surviving nephews are Thach Tran and his family, Bac Tran and his family, Vincent Qui Tran and his family, and Peter Hoa Tran and his family. Mary's surviving nieces are Phuong Tran and her family, PhucPhan and her family, Nglia Phan, Kim Tran and her family who still reside in Vietnam.

Private family and praying services will be held at Einan's Funeral Home and at the family home in Richland.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church (1111 Stevens Drive, Richland) with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens (915 bypass highway) in Richland.
